# The Silver Rose The Silver Rose Prayer Program is an annual Prayer service in honor of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and the Unborn, which demonstrates the unity and cofraternity of Knights of Columbus from Canada, the United States, and Mexico and our devotion to the Blesed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, and to Pro-Life causes. Ordinarily, 7 Silver Roses begin a journey though North America in Alaska, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Virginia, and Hawaii late in February with an 8th Silver Rose beginning its journey in Puerto Rico in late March. 3 of the Silver Roses arrive in Mexico City in time for the celebrations of the feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe (December 12) in Mexico City, 3 of the Silver Roses remain in Texas and one remains in New York City for the feast day, and one Silver Rose ends its journey in Washington, DC in late December. In the year 2020, such a journey is difficult without endangering the lives of our dearest families and neighbors. Therefore, Supreme Council has decided to broadcast a prayer service on Wednesday, July 29 at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central from the Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, DC. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/FiKTwKw-3Y4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> A history of the Silver Rose Prayer Service and the prder of the Prayer Service itself can be found in the [Silver Rose Prayer Service Booklet](https://www.kofc.org/en/resources/faith-in-action-programs/life/silver-rose/4841-silver-rose-prayer-service-booklet.pdf).
